I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
